CREAM PIE FILLING

Ingredients
1 cup milk
1 cup light cream
3 tablespoon flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
Scald milk in top of a double boiler.
Add a little of the milk to egg yolk, mix and add to milk.
Mix toget4herd flour, cornstarch, sugar and salt, add to milk mixture, stirring constantly till thicken.
Add vanilla, let cool.
I cover with a piece of wax paper.
My favorite cream pie made by Mom was Banana Cream. To everyone’s surprise, I liked it better than the always more popular Chocolate Pie.
